Membership Fees
Terms & Conditions
The following outlines the obligations, terms and conditions you should be aware of as Member/Affiliate of the Tennis Emirates (TE). All TE Members/Affiliates are bound by the Rules of the ITF and regulations of the UAE Tennis Association, as amended from time to time, and by any specific terms and conditions imposed under these Rules and regulations.
1. Membership/Affiliation Applications
All membership applications shall be submitted in the proper form to the Tennis Emirates (TE) or MEDIAPRO Middle East (MPME) offices along with the appropriate membership fees. Membership/Affiliation fees are payable in advance, with rates applicable to the TE Membership/Affiliation levels set and approved by TE Joint Management Committee. Institutions affiliation, coaches and officials membership are valid one season. Players membership are valid for one year.
2. Membership/Affiliation Details
Members/Affiliates are issued with a log-in username and password on the TE website. Members/Affiliates can use their username and password for future log-ins and to update their membership/affiliate details and information.
3. Cancellation of Membership/Affiliation
A Member/Affiliate may cancel their Membership/Affiliation at any time by providing a written notification to the Tennis Emirates.
4. Refund Policy
Membership/Affiliation fees are non-refundable for approved applications but are fully refundable for rejected applications. TE Membership/Affiliation are non-transferable.
5. Lapsing of Membership/Affiliation
Where a Member’s/Affiliates subscription is overdue, access to Membership/Affiliate services and benefits will be denied. Any Member/Affiliate whose subscription is overdue for more than three (3) months will cease to be a Member/Affiliate of the Tennis Emirates. At the discretion of Tennis Emirates and upon payment of outstanding and overdue subscription fees and other charges, a Member/Affiliate may have their Membership/Affiliation reinstated but the validity of Membership/Affiliation will be backdated from the actual renewal date. Any Member/Affiliate who fails to complete all the required documents in regards to the Membership/Affiliation applications for more than three (3) months will cease from the TE database and a new application needs to be made.
6. Refusal of Service
Any Member engaging in abusive conduct or acting fraudulently may have their membership suspended or may be refused service pending further investigation.
7. Termination of Membership
Any Member who abuses, offends or puts at risk any member of the TE/MPME staff or any tournament committee in the carrying out of their usual duties may be charged with conduct detrimental to the Association. In such cases, the Tennis Emirates Board has the power to expel the person from membership of the Association. On expulsion from the Association, the Member forfeits all rights and claims on the Association.
8. Membership Verification/Validation
All TE Members/Affiliates will be issued with a membership card/affiliation certificate with a unique identification number. Membership cards and affiliation certificates remains a property of Tennis Emirates and are not transferable.
All Members should present their membership card when accessing TE members services or entitlements while affiliates should provide their affiliation number when accessing affiliates benefits or entitlements.
In circumstances where a Member/Affiliate is unable to produce a membership card/affiliation number, you may be required to provide alternative forms of identification or certify your entitlement to service in writing. In case of lost or stolen membership card, a AED 50 replacement fee will apply and a AED 100 replacement fee for affiliation certificate.
Any benefit obtained by presenting the membership card/affiliation number may be subject to separate terms and conditions, as amended from time to time.
Tennis Emirates is not liable for any malfunction of the membership card/affiliation number, nor for any unauthorized use of the card, or delays in issuing or replacing the card/certificate. You must notify the TE immediately if your membership card/affiliation certificate is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed.
9. Members/Affiliates Benefits & Services
Membership/Affiliation with Tennis Emirates is prerequired for any person or institution wanting to engage in any kind of activity related to tennis: clubs, hotels, academies, players, coaches, officials, corporate partners, etc.
The Membership/Affiliation is a prerequisite to participate/host any Tennis Emirates organized and/or sanctioned events such as camps, leagues, tournaments, competitions, and membership card/affiliation number shall be produced at all times, as and when required.
TE grants its members/affiliates the privilege to be recognized as an official Member/Affiliate. Members/Affiliates can inquire or request for any official transcript against a chargeable fee.
10. Use of Information & Disclosure
The Member/Affiliate grants Tennis Emirates, affiliating organizers, officials, agents, sponsors the right to use his name, picture and/or likeness in printed, broadcast, transmission and any other form of communication in conjunction with any officially sanctioned event within the United Arab Emirates.
11.Waiver
I agree to the following in respect of Tennis Emirates, their associated entities, affiliates, sponsors, employees and directors (the “Group”):
That by entering and/or participating in any event and/or tournament owned, hosted and/or organised by Tennis Emirates, that all claims of any kind, nature and description are waived, including past, present or future claims in respect of injuries, if any, sustained in travelling to or from, or participating in, any such event and/or tournament, as against the Group;
I acknowledge and agree that the Group shall in no event be liable for any loss or damage to any of the property, equipment or other effects brought into or stored at the venue of any event and/or tournament hosted and/or sanctioned by Tennis Emirates or by me; and
I assume full responsibility for hazards incurred in the conduct of my activities in conjunction with Tennis Emirates and I, indemnify, and hold harmless the Group in respect of any and all losses, damages, costs, expenses (including legal expenses), judgments, fines, penalties and/or liabilities which the Group now or in the future suffer or incur consequent on or arising directly or indirectly out of any acts or omissions by me, including but not limited to any and all claims in relation to any injury or accident, or loss including any fatality resulting from my participation in any event organised and/or sanctioned by Tennis Emirates;

1. Who is Tennis Emirates (TE)?
Tennis Emirates is the national governing body of tennis in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). TE’s role is to develop and promote tennis throughout UAE following the requirements of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the strategy of the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare.

3. What is a Tennis Emirates (TE) membership & affiliation program?
On 1 Oct 2009, Tennis Emirates launched its membership program to identify and categorize the tennis community in the UAE.
4. Who oversees the membership & affiliation program?
The program is administered by the MEDIAPRO Middle East (MPME), the management and marketing partner of Tennis Emirates through the approval of the Tennis Emirates Joint Management Committee and the General Authority of Youths and Sports Welfare.
5. What are the different types of memberships?
There are 7 types of affiliation/membership as follows:
- Kid’s (10 and under)
- Junior’s (11 to 17 years)
- Adult’s (18 years & above)
- Non UAE residents
- Officials (Tournament Director, Referees, Umpires, Linesmen) etc.

Membership application(s) can be made online or by hardcopy submission of an application form, while an institutional affiliation can only be made through hardcopy submission of an affiliation application form.

9. How long is the validity of my membership/affiliation?
Institutions affiliation, coaches and officials membership are valid one season. Players membership are valid for one year. Members and affiliates who have not registered with Tennis Emirates for season 2009/10 will be charged first season dues on top of the 2010/11 season membership/affiliation fees.
10. What are the required documents for the membership/affiliation application?
Individual members:
- Completed application forms
- 2 passport photos
- Passport copy (cover page)
- UAE resident visa copy
- UAE ID card copy
- Professional certification copies (for coaches & officials only)
- Personal CV’s (for coaches & officials only)
- Proof of payment
Affiliation applications:
- Completed application forms
- Copy of Trade License or copy of the Establishment/Sports Club Memorandum
- Copy of rental agreement for tennis courts sub-contractors and/or freelance tennis coaches
- 2 passport photos of the Institution Manager
- Copy of Manager’s passport
- Copy of Manager’s UAE resident visa
- Application form(s) of all coaches sponsored under the Institution’s Trade License
- Proof of payment

11. How can I view the membership terms and conditions?
All terms and conditions are published online at http://www.uae-tennis.com and printed on all application forms. All terms & conditions are subject to change without prior notice.
12. How much is the membership/affiliation fee?
Annual fees are at the following rates:
Membership payments can be paid in either cash, cheque or credit card, while an affiliation can only be paid by cheque.
- Online Applications - Credit Card Only
- Mailed Applications - Cheque Only
- Walk-in Applications - Cash, Cheque or Credit Card
Payment is due in full at the time of application. All cheques should be payable to “Tennis Emirates”. Please ensure you keep your receipt as proof of purchase (online payments will be issued a receipt via website).
14. When and how can I receive my membership card?
Upon successful approval of your application, you will receive a confirmation by email of your approved membership application, plus your user name and first time “Log-in” password along with the collection notice. As soon as your membership is approved, you are entitled to all benefits even if your card is still under processing.
Your membership application will be confirmed within 1 week and a card or affiliation certificate issued within 2 weeks, as long as payment and all required document are submitted.
15. Why is my application taking so long?
Your membership application might be pending until all relevant documents are received. Incomplete applications would be left pending for 3 months. Thereafter, the application will be cancelled. In case of membership cancelation of application, membership payments are non refundable.
16. What happens if my application is rejected?
In case of rejected application(s), a full refund of money will be paid to you and all the submitted documents will be returned immediately.
17. Is my membership card required?
It is recommended to carry your membership card with you, especially when you are participating in tennis activities and obtaining membership benefits such as discounts at the preferred outlets.
18. How can I obtain my membership username and password?
For online application, the system will prompt you to provide a valid email address, your login username and a password of your choice.
For hardcopy application, your username and password will be sent to your specified email account on your application.
After your first time login, you will be able to change your password. This username and password should be used for future logins.
19. What do I do if I forget my password?
Under “Member’s Login”, please specify your username (your email address) and click “forget password”. The “old” password will be sent to your specified email account.
20. How do I replace my lost or stolen membership card/affiliation certificate?
Please download a card/certificate replacement form from the TE website or request for a replacement from Tennis Emirates or MEDIAPRO. Please fill out the information and send it to:-
